Tiny Rogues is a challenging fantasy rogue-lite dungeon crawler with RPG elements, and one of its key features is the Broken Hero Sword, which can be upgraded to become a powerful melee weapon. Here’s a guide on how to upgrade it to its final forms and the associated effects:

  1. Choose the Broken Hero Sword: Start the game by choosing the Broken Hero Sword as your starting weapon.
  2. Collect Gold: As you progress through the game, collect at least 60 Gold as quickly as possible. You’ll need more Gold later, so keep farming for it.
  3. Upgrade to +2: When you encounter a Blacksmith, upgrade the Broken Hero Sword to +2.
  4. Choose Mythril: At boss rooms, choose Mythril as your upgrade material. If it doesn’t appear at the beginning, you should obtain Mythril before reaching the third floor.
  5. Obtain Whetstone: You can find the Whetstone as well. You don’t need it yet, but if you come across it, keep it for the last upgrade. Whetstone is usually found in the tavern with the knight, where you need to show him a rare weapon to receive it.
  6. Upgrade to +3: Once you have enough Gold and Mythril, return to a Blacksmith and upgrade the sword to +3. This will transform the Broken Hero Sword into the Hero Sword.
  7. Final Forms: The final forms are essentially the same for stat purposes, but they have different effects depending on the Flex Material you have in your inventory. Here are the final forms and their associated effects:
    • HeatSlayer: Requires Heatflex. It deals fire damage and inflicts the burn status effect.
    • Stormbinder: Requires Voltflex. It deals lightning damage and inflicts the shock status effect.
    • Snowcaller: Requires Iceflex. It deals ice damage and inflicts the chill status effect.
    • Thornrender: Requires Toxiflex. It deals toxic damage and inflicts the poison status effect.
    • Shadowrazor: Requires Darkflex. It deals dark damage.

Remember that the final form is more of an aesthetic choice as the stats remain largely the same. Choose the effect that best suits your playstyle or preferences.

As for Tiny Rogues itself, it’s a bullet-hell game where you create a new character each time you play, battling through different monster-infested rooms, discovering weapons and items, and leveling up to become stronger. There are various character classes, passive abilities, and equipment to make each run unique. Additionally, you can invest in starting gift items and passive blessings by collecting souls at the bonfire to permanently enhance your character. Enjoy your adventure in the dungeons of Tiny Rogues!
