"Paramount, Spin Master, and Nickelodeon Announce Third Paw Patrol Movie for 2026"

Paramount Pictures, in collaboration with Spin Master Entertainment and Nickelodeon Films, is set to release a third film in the Paw Patrol franchise, scheduled to hit theaters in 2026. This announcement follows the recent release of “Paw Patrol: A Mighty Movie,” which came out in theaters. Cal Brunker, who directed both “A Mighty Movie” and the 2021 feature “Paw Patrol: The Movie,” will return as the director for this upcoming installment. Paramount will handle distribution for the film, while Elevation Pictures will take care of distribution in Canada.

Paw Patrol, which originated as a TV show and is now celebrating its 10th year, revolves around a tech-savvy boy and his team of heroic pups. The 2021 feature film adaptation, “Paw Patrol: The Movie,” exceeded expectations at the box office, grossing $40 million domestically and over $144 million worldwide. This success is particularly noteworthy as the film was released simultaneously on Paramount+ and faced challenges due to the ongoing pandemic. The sequel, “Paw Patrol: A Mighty Movie,” boasts a star-studded voice cast, including Taraji P. Henson, Kristen Bell, Christian Convery, Brice Gonzalez, Mckenna Grace, and Lil Rel Howery.

Jennifer Dodge, the President of Spin Master Entertainment, emphasized how Paw Patrol has not only entertained generations of preschoolers but also subtly taught them important values like community, inclusiveness, and teamwork. Dodge, along with Laura Clunie and Toni Stevens of Spin Master, will produce the upcoming film. Ronnen Harary, the co-founder of Spin Master, will serve as the executive producer.

Paramount’s animation portfolio includes other beloved franchises such as Transformers, Smurfs, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, with plans for animated features in the works.
